He has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno as well as an MBA from Texas A&M, which sets him apart from his Real Estate peers. Ken has a combined 20 years of work experience being a licensed professional civil engineer and a realtor. During his career he has worked on every aspect of the real estate market including: community planning, designing infrastructure for the community, representing investors, buyers, and sellers.
Ken has been awarded the prestigious Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Designation by the Council of Residential Specialists, the largest not-for-profit affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS®. REALTORS® who receive the CRS Designation have completed advanced professional training and demonstrated outstanding professional achievement in residential real estate. Only 29,000 REALTORS® nationwide have earned the credential. Moreover, Ken is also a certified FAA part 107 drone pilot, which allows him to offer his clients a unique opportunity to incorporate the fast growing and popular drone photography into their real estate transaction.
Ken is a family man, with a devotion to his beautiful wife, and their two young boys. He is an avid outdoorsman who loves to take advantage of the year around outdoor activities that Northern Nevada has to offer. His outdoor passions include snow skiing, mountain bike riding, hiking, running, and swimming in and around the beautiful Lake Tahoe Basin. It is not uncommon to see the Angst Family eating dinner and swimming at Sand Harbor on Sunday evenings during the summer.
Ken credits much of his success in real estate career to his late father, Phil, who was one of the best salesmen in Northern Nevada for decades. Moreover, his father taught him the importance of virtues of integrity, education, and family. His engineering and business background have allowed him to develop skill sets that are critical to the success of each real estate transaction including: exceptional presentation, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills. These skills allow Ken to proactively address details in each and every real estate transaction before they become an issue for his clients
He and his team also pride themselves on do what is right for their clients. They spend a lot of time educating their clients about the local market in order to allow them to make the best informed decisions on their real estate investment.
